As of 3/10/2010 All Sellers and Buyers MUST when they arrive at BC , PARK their vehicle in a parking space . There is no longer to be allowed people driving around and stopping at cars to pick up items etc... Sellers you will need to include this information in your profile or email buyers so that when they arrive at BC they too can comply with this. If you are handicapped or unable to walk then include that in your information so your seller/buyer can come to you. Also if you have children then they MUST be supervised at all times. No longer are they allowed to climb in the landscaping areas as these are being destroyed and they can get hurt. These issues are not optional and have nothing to do WYS . If you have any questions you need to contact me Bobbi at 473-1231 or email me. Price:

Thanks so much Bobbi for all your time and effort ... please know we appreciate it!

Kelly The Cake Lady --- 183 days ago -

Thanks Bobbi! We should just consider ourselves lucky that we're able to meet there still. Yesterday was scary I don't want to see that happen again. I will make sure I pass it in my emails to sellers. I never liked all the driving around since that lot is so much smaller it's to chaotic.

bobbi --- 183 days ago -

Just a note to all that we may NOT be able to meet at BC much longer. I will let all know in advance.

Tammy --- 183 days ago -

I am not going to hide that I am thrilled that driving is no longer allowed. I am sorry that something had to happen to make it so. Accidents happen, which is what I said not a few short months ago, and believe that I was told to get a life. Thankfully no one was hurt. Bobbi's suggestion that the people who feel they "have to" drive should tell their sellers so that we can go to them is FANTASTIC. I hope things go smooth next week, I am sure this will keep everyone safe and keep Bruce's lot from being destroyed. Maybe I will actually let my kids out of the car now. Thank you Bobbi

bobbi --- 183 days ago -

I agree with you Tammy and I recall that at C6 a few people like Karen and Beth tried to get people NOT to drive and they to were shot down. Now it is not a option at BC, if you are not going to comply then you will be asked to leave. It does not matter if you are WYS member or not. WYS has nothing to do with BC. Same with selling items that are NOT presold. I am glad everyone seems pleased with these things but I am just waiting for "those few" who have to make a stink. It always happens:(

Luv Being Retired --- 183 days ago -

Thank you Bobbi..I think everyone really appreciates you and also Bruce for letting us use the lot. I think it is wonderful idea to have everyone park..I would be glad to take things to a car if someone is unable to walk around. Thank you again!!

Tammy --- 183 days ago -

"those few" will come, and will blame it on people with kids, it is already happening on WYS now in announcements. I don't think it is meant to be mean, but it happens, It is not all the kids and all the drivers. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. No BC is not a playground and kids belong in the car, in a stroller or bring a chair for them to sit in. They do not belong running around. Drivers should not be happening at all end of story. like you said, if you cannot walk, park and let people come to you. It's all I tried to suggest before, I hope you do not get the harassment I got from it. I have no doubt that if people complain and do what they want, that Bruce will kick us out, those who said that "HE IS NOT LIABLE" are about to watch how fast he does not want to take that chance.

bobbi --- 183 days ago -

I want to make clear that children are WELCOME but of course should be supervised.Whether that means in your car, in a stroller or walking beside you or just holding your hand. I dont care how it is done just that it is. No one is right and only those who dont are wrong. It is not the "children" that are the problem , it is the parents who do not watch them that it falls upon. I want parents and children to have fun at BC and have a good safe time. I do not want this to become a issue to be divided upon.

It's Me! --- 183 days ago -

You are so right Bobbi. Of course many of us have to bring our children out to BC with us, but it is the responsibility of the PARENT to watch where their children are at all times. We averted a tragedy last night, and we don't need to see any repeats of that. A rule saying everyone MUST PARK is a great rule and anyone who has a problem with it needs to meet somewhere else. As the weather warms up and the days get longer (starting this weekend!), we are liable to have even more vehicles out there than we already have. Bruce has been wonderful to allow us to use his parking areas the way that he has, and we need to make sure that we thank him - even if we end up having to find another place to meet. After last night, I wouldn't blame him for not allowing us to meet there any more. I hope he will allow us to stay longer providing we follow all the rules (not that there are very many of them, I mean really people!) and be considerate of him, his property, and each other. I for one really appreciate all that Bruce has done for us.

Kelly The Cake Lady --- 183 days ago -

I agree with everything. And last night could have been so much worse. People driving around looking for sellers, on their cell phones just makes it dangerous for everyone..not just the kids. It's a small parking lot and there is really no reason that people can't park and walk around...It's not a Mc Yardsale for crying out loud. Dpn't get me wrong..I'm not placing blame anywhere, I just want to see it safer for everyone. And I hope that Bruce lets us continue to meet there.

Megan --- 183 days ago -

I agree ... I think the rules are no more than common sense and courtesy! Bruce Cavenaugh is a wonderful man who has gone above and beyond for us (with Bobbi's help) and does take liability risks by allowing us to use this lot. If you add respect to the common sense and courtesy, you have a great balance to work with and all should be happy and thankful.

Kelly The Cake Lady --- 183 days ago -

I think with the warmer weather last night things got out of hand, it was far to Chaotic. Add distracted drivers and people walking everywhere and you have a disaster. that being said...I don't think people should park in front of the building on that corner either...it creates a blind spot.

It's Me! --- 183 days ago -

We should all only park in actual parking spaces.

Gale --- 183 days ago -

There is a back exit out of there behind the building, it can put you onto GreenMeadows Dr. or if you go to the right, it will take you past Britts Motor Sports, than MarketSt. It might be a safer alternative to get out, instead of driving through traffic!! It might just be worth a try!

Ashley --- 183 days ago -

I agree! I am so glad that this new park and walk rule has been put into place! Thank you Bruce Cavanaugh and Bobbi! Also, some of the comments made in the announcements area, and in the lot yesterday were not nice. I have to bring my daughter with me to BC, and I keep her safe. Although I know the comments were not directed to me personally, it sometimes can feel that way when you say "kids" meaning all kids. I am not placing blame, I am not judging anyone, just saying that I heard a lot of hurtful words.

Doris --- 183 days ago -

Thanks for keeping this organized for us all - I appreciate it.

It's Me! --- 183 days ago -

Ashley - I for one don't want to make you feel bad because you need to bring your children. We just want to make sure that those who do bring children keep them where they can see them at all times for their safety. Likewise, we don't want anyone to feel bad about the traffic situation - we just want to correct it and make sure that everyone is safe and that hopefully there will be a little less chaos from now on. We all need to be cognizant of the rules and follow them. There really aren't too many, and they are pretty much just common sense. We've got a great thing going and don't want to see it get messed up.

Tammy --- 183 days ago -

I pointed out in announcements on WYS that EVERYONE needs to be safe, that it was not all drivers or all kids and my comment appears to have been deleted. I did it because I too felt a little bad for bringing my kids. I keep them in the car playing video games. Lets just all be safe and not point blame anywhere.

Ashley --- 183 days ago -

Don't get me wrong about my last comment. I am very happy for the new rule! It was very chaotic, and honestly, if I didn't have to bring my daughter, I wouldn't. I'm so happy that everyone (so far) seems to agree with the new rule. I for one am thrilled! I'm just sorry that it took someone getting hurt first. :( And yes, the rules are common sense. Tammy, why did your post get deleted?

Dae Yum Yum --- 183 days ago -

I wasn't there last night, but you can bet I have heard about it. I USE to meet EVERY week. Now, I only show when I have a few things to sell. I do say THANK YOU BOBBI!!! We have tried to have rules, but i has never really worked. But since YOU are the link to BC, people need to listen to you! If they dont want to listen, LEAVE! it's that easy. I try not to take Geneva with me when ever possible!! If I have to, she sits with other kids in another car!!

Vampire Mistress --- 183 days ago -

THANK YOU BOBBI LUV YA:)

It's Me! --- 183 days ago -

It's understandable that some of us need to bring our children with us - wouldn't make sense financially to pay for a sitter so we can save a few bucks buying something or make a few bucks selling something. We don't want anyone to feel that they cannot bring their children. But we just all need to be careful - our children are the future and we need to do everything we can to keep them safe. If we bring children, we need to keep our eyes on them. If we don't bring children, we need to watch out for the children that are there. It's that simple! No blame on anyone - just keep everyone safe.

Melody --- 183 days ago -

I think Bobbi has done a wonderful job getting us BC's. I think Bruce is a wonderful man for letting us use his parking lot. Also a "Big Thank You" for lights when it get's dark. I plan to post in my profile & also let everyone know who is buying from me that they must park their cars and walk to my car. I think it would be a great idea if sellers parked in the front and Green Meadows side of the building and that the buyers parked behind and on Britts side of the building. That way maybe it would cut down on the confusion of buyers finding sellers and vice versa. Also I think all sellers should have a visable sign on their vehicle. We loose customers 'cause they say they couldn't find you and didn't take the time to call your cell.

I think Bobbi has done a wonderful job getting us BC's. I think Bruce is a wonderful man for letting us use his parking lot. I AGREE! Thanks so much Bobbi & Bruce!!! :)

It's Me! --- 183 days ago -

I think it would be a great idea if sellers parked in the front and Green Meadows side of the building and that the buyers parked behind and on Britts side of the building. In theory that may work, but there are some people who are buying AND selling. Plus everyone likes having their own "special" place to park every week and their buyers pretty much know where to find them at this point so they probably won't want to change where they park ... unless we lose our great meeting place and have to start all over again.

My3Kids --- 183 days ago -

Bobbi thanks for everything you have been doing and continue to do! My daughter sits in my vehicle and usually has others that come and sit with her. I think the new rules will help tremendously as long as evryone will follow them! Lets also remember another issue as well. All items must be pre-sold. You can't set up and sell items right there at BC. You would need a Peddler's License for this. We may be watched a little closer now. Thanks again Bobbi! Luv ya!

It's Me! --- 182 days ago -

All items must be pre-sold. You can't set up and sell items right there at BC. You would need a Peddler's License for this. We may be watched a little closer now. Absolutely. And we don't want to do anything to cause us to lose our great meeting place. There were several set up this week, and they were told several times not to do that. I guess they don't realize that they are going to mess it up for EVERYONE. Bobbi - we thank you for trying to keep us in line and being the go-between for us and Bruce. We also need to be considerate of the condition we leave the parking lot in on Tuesdays - no trash or anything left behind. Once we leave, it should look like we've never been there.

My3Kids --- 182 days ago -

We also need to be considerate of the condition we leave the parking lot in on Tuesdays - no trash or anything left behind. Once we leave, it should look like we've never been there. I totally agree. Some people don't know this but Bobbi and Mike (her husband) go back up to BC and will pick up trash and cigarette butts so that it is clean! Thanks guys!

bobbi --- 182 days ago -

I keep reading where people are apologizing for having to bring their children etc... Please DO NOT do that! Children are welcome as it is really children and children items that make WYS go round. I just want people to take care when the children are not in the vehicles etc... This really should be common sense. Also if you have a item that you brought and say a buyer was a noshow and someone else comes along see it and wants to buy it, I have no problem with that. Common sense people:) As for trying to get buyers and sellers to park on a certain side I really dont forsee that working. If everyone will tell everyone else the way it should be then it should work out. The only traffic should be from people trying to find a space to park or those leaving as that will happen as people arrive and leave at all different times. Yes, me and my husband do go back to BC and pick up the trash, but it has gotten better since people have become aware. If you smoke put you butts in a cup or whatever please. Signs would be great on vehicles but of course are not a requirement. It makes sense ( money wise) to have one , even if it is just a plain peice of paper with your name taped to the back glass, but if you give adequate vehicle information and cell # that can work too:) Karen (Snownut) makes beautiful signs at a GREAT PRICE. Again, not required, I don't have one, but then again most people know me. Everyone should be welcome, we all profit from one another. With out the "whole" it would not be a "community". Below is simple list of rules for meeting at BC: You MUST park your vehicle , no matter your seller/buyer status Children MUST be SUPERVISED at ALL times Children ARE NOT ALLOWED to play in landscaped areas of the lot. ALL SALES MUST BE PRESOLD ! Failure to comply and you will NOT be able to meet there. These are not optional.
